Position Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Townhouse Center, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our residents. Your responsibilities include:

  • Active involvement in direct resident assessment and care
  • Supervision and coordination of nursing personnel in accordance with State and Federal regulations
  • Formulating individualized nursing care plans using the nursing process
  • Daily assessment of each resident and prompt adjustment of care plans as needed
  • Collaborating with physicians during rounds and ensuring accurate communication of pertinent information
  • Training and supervising nursing personnel to excel in their roles
  • Demonstrating effective leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Remaining composed and efficient during emergency situations

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the implementation of our facility's Quality Improvement Program
  • Identifying potential safety hazards and ensuring compliance with facility guidelines
  • Maintaining accurate resident care records and documenting pertinent data
  • Actively participating in resident care meetings, staff meetings, and in-service training
  • Ensuring active licensure and attending all mandated in-services
  • Engaging in teaching opportunities with residents, families, and staff through formal or informal presentations
  • Dispensing medication and performing treatments in accordance with facility policies and procedures
  • Promptly notifying attending physicians and families of significant changes in residents' health conditions

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of New York
  • Nursing experience is a plus
