A full-time Registered Nurse licensed in Massachusetts is needed to support a K-12 school in Medford, MA, for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This role involves providing specialized care on a 1:1 basis to a student requiring seizure medication administration, tracheostomy and suctioning care, and G-tube feeding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer seizure medications as prescribed and monitor students health closely
- Perform tracheostomy care and suctioning safely and effectively
- Manage G-tube feedings and related medical treatments
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure comprehensive care
- Provide nursing services during transport to and from school via bus transportation
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions and student health status
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in a school setting or related environment
- Knowledge of seizure management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and G-tube procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to follow school policies and maintain confidentiality
