CNA Responsibilities:

Assist residents with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Ensure residents’ living spaces remain clean, safe, and comfortable
Set up resident rooms with necessary supplies, including blankets, toiletries, and medical equipment
Monitor residents’ conditions, report changes to the nursing team, and maintain accurate documentation
Encourage social interaction and emotional well-being among residents
Work in accordance with state, local, and federal healthcare regulations
Collaborate with fellow caregivers and healthcare professionals to provide the highest level of care

CNA Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Active and unrestricted CNA certification
Experience in long-term care preferred but not required
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Reliable, compassionate, and dedicated to quality resident care

Schedule & Benefits:

Competitive pay: $19.75-$23.00, based on experience, plus shift differentials and waive benefits eligibility

As a Hospice Aide you are an essential member of the Hospice team by performing various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort. Communication: Maintain good relationships with the patient, the patient’s family, and staff. Reports any changes to the patient’s medical and living conditions to the supervisor or the primary nurse. Minimize Patient Risk: Meet safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, Oxygen, etc.). Provide proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence. Policies: Adhere to the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct. Operations: Attend in-service training and mandatory agency meetings. HARD & SOFT SKILLS: Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude. Understanding of the hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill and secure with the issues of death/dying. Patience is a virtue when working with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers. Attention to detail is critical, as is being observant and following directions. REQUIREMENTS: Meets the training requirements of the State and has successfully completed a state established or other training program that meets the State’s requirements of a competency evaluation program, or state licensure program.
