The Director of Nursing (DON) plans and monitors the delivery of quality patient care by the House Supervisors, RN's, Staff Educator/Infection Control/Employee Health Nurse and Mental Health Technicians. The Director of Nursing supervisors the administration of the work schedule and assigns workload to the staff maximizing the strengths and abilities of the staff. The Director of Nursing has overall responsibility for managing, coordinating, supervising and implementing treatment proprams and the delivery of services in an effective manner for all programs. The Director of Nursing serves on various organizational teams and/or committees and as a consultant to other departments. The Director of Nursing monitors and assures the hospitals compliance with applicable standards, regulations and laws.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing and active RN license in state of Florida. Master's degree required. Five (5) years psychiatric nursing experience and supervisory experience required.
