JOB HIGHLIGHTS--Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the nursing team as a Certified Medication Aide (C.M.A.). You will make a difference in the lives of residents by coordinating their medication administration and assisting them with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities--Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

  • Assistance with Medications for all assigned residents
  • Assisting with the daily care of the residents, including: Personal care, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundering, social interactions, and meals. 
  • Monitoring the resident’s physical and emotional comfort and responding as needed
  • Documenting completed tasks such as: Daily shift report, resident records and negotiated service agreement
  • Confidentially communicating clearly to other staff, such as: Urgent needs for the next shift and all concerns to the Health Care Director
  • Demonstrating the ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift

Bonus opportunities--Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

  • Perfect attendance bonus—$75 for full-time (up to a $1,950 annual benefit) and $35 for part-time (up to a $910 annual benefit)
  • Shift differential—$1+ per hour depending on location and shift assignment

You must perform these tasks as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, and in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations. Also, must perform routine daily tasks required in maintaining the health, comfort and well-being of the residents. Performs resident care responsibilities in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with MGM Healthcare Clinical Policies and Procedures as well as state/federal guidelines and regulations. Observes for and reports any reactions and/or s ide effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift. Performs all aspects of resident care in an environ RN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
