Job Summary:  Personal assistance services include assistance with eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and activities of daily living.

Client living in Norristown, PA is a full assist needing to be repositioned every 2 hours. 

When specified in the plan of care, this service may also include housekeeping chores such as bed making, dusting, and vacuuming, which are incidental to the care furnished or which are essential to the health and welfare of the individual, exercise and making and keeping medical appointments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintains confidentiality of patient/family information

Protects the patient from harm and or danger

Observes patient for changes in physical and or mental status. Reports to supervisor observations

Reviews the written service plan before carrying out care/service

Meal prep

Med reminder

Incontinence Care

Light housekeeping

Assistance with ADL’s and IADL’s

Required Skills/ Abilities:

Strong written, verbal communication skills

Ability to report changes found during shifts.

Documents daily care/service provided.

Problem solver with good management abilities

Complete documents for care including schedule changes along with clock in and clock outs being recording in real time.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma 

6 months or more of healthcare and or personal care

C.N.A. Certification

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, lifting

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

*Payrate* $15 an hour
