Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
  • Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
  • Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
  • Support clients with transportation to various appointments and community outings.
  • Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Prior experience with developmental disabilities (strongly preferred).
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Required training certifications such as CPR and First Aid to be completed through approved providers.

The Certified Medication Aide / Med Tech will: Administer and record the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations. Observe, document, and effectively communicate changes in resident status to nurses and/or administration that could be related to medication interactions, adverse drug reactions or medication side effects. Monitor medications to ensure adequate accountability measures are taken when medications are ordered, received into the facility, administered and at change of shift as required by policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations. Observe community policies and procedures regarding resident and team member safety, attendance, timeliness, house rules, teamwork, and resident service.
