JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Manager, Director, and Vice President of Nursing, the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner delivers specialty care with a high degree of expertise in perinatal and neonatal health by formulating a plan based on assessment, examination, and selected diagnostic procedures within their scope of practice. Provides leadership for the health care team by collaborating with physicians, nursing, case manager, and multi-disciplinary team members to ensure high quality, comprehensive care is delivered. Has a collaborative practice agreement with the Neonatologist.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team to support the region’s largest Level III NICU between Memphis and St. Louis.

Position Details:     

  • Join a group of 3 board-certified, fellowship-trained neonatologists and 5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners 
  • 36 bed NICU. 306 bed Medical Center, 18 LDPR rooms.
  • Our team supports a busy, high-volume, high-quality OB service of more than 1500 births annually.
  • NEC: 0% and ROP: 0%
  • Supported by the area’s only full-time perinatology service and expert staff of nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists trained to detect and avert problems associated with high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
  • Schedule will be 24 hour shifts 0700-0700 (21 shifts/quarter or approximately 7 shifts/month)

Education:

- Graduate of an approved Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Program for Neonatal Nurses

Certification & Licensures:

- Credentialed and licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Neonatal Nurse in the State of Missouri

- NRP Certification

- BLS Certification

Experience:

- Requires a minimum of two (2) years' experience in neonatal nursing

- Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills

- Must be able to read, write and speak in fluent English
