Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience in long-term care as a C.N.A. required.
Essential Functions:
Develops and posts work schedules at least two weeks in advance.
Contacts replacement personnel and modifies schedules as needed.
Maintains an up-to-date listing of employee contact numbers for call-ins.
Coordinates time-off requests with the Director of Nursing.
Notifies the Director of Nursing of short-staffing situations.
Maintains records of employees who miss shifts and produces related reports.
Assists on the unit during emergency situations.
Demonstrates availability and flexibility.
Responds to on-call scheduling phone for call-offs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and concise communication.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Proficient in operating computers, fax machines, and laptops.
Skilled in using Google Spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook.
Knowledge of overtime regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Purchase medical supplies and maintain adequate inventory on nursing units.
