The APRN or Physician Assistant is responsible for assessing physical and psychosocial status of patients in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting. The APPs will see GI and/or Hepatology patients in an outpatient clinic setting by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies. This position could require inpatient M-F rotation on the UMH Hepatology inpatient service for the right candidate. For outpatient ambulatory work, this would require 7-8 half days in outpatient ambulatory clinics and at Uhealth locations. We have ambulatory practices at UHhealth Towers, UMHC Crohns and colitis Center, Kendall, Lennar, Doral, Sole Mia, Boca, Plantation, Deerfield sites. For Inpatient rotations, APP will round both independently and collaboratively on Hepatology Inpatient Service at University of Miami hospital no later than 8 am and have proper sign-out of patients with fellows at the end of the day and prior to weekends.
