Inova Kellar Center is looking for a dedicated RN Outpatient to join the team. This role will be full-time, day shift Monday- Friday, 7:30 AM-6:00 PM (hours vary).
Job location:11204 Waples Mill Rd Fairfax, VA 2203 and 46050 Manekin Plaza, Sterling, VA 20166 (every Wednesday).
Inova Kellar Center has provided behavioral health services for children, adolescents and their families for more than thirty years. Our comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs and an innovative special education school support families throughout Northern Virginia and have continued to expand to meet future needs.

Job Responsibilities
Certification - Basic Life Support through American Heart Association
Licensure - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
Education - Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Job Responsibilities
- Performs essential duties necessary to clinic or non-acute operations to include taking vitals, stocking exam rooms, giving vaccines, blood draws, etc.
- Formulates plans of care based on trends of similar patients including patient education and discharge planning. Identifies variances from expected outcomes. Evaluates patient outcomes and makes revisions to plans of care.
- Collaborates with patients/families to identify realistic desired outcomes. Adapts standards and guidelines for individual patients. Tailors and prioritizes caring practice to individual needs including cultural, ethical and spiritual needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional healthcare needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options, end of life options). Responds to changes in patients' needs and provides holistic caring.
- Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience.
- Actively advocates for patients' rights and identifies potential conflicts

- Behavioral Health experience.
