Maintains composure in unpredictable or stressful situations. Receives and gives verbal reports on each patient at start/end of each clinical experience. Prepares patients for transport to other hospital departments for testing; prepares patients for discharge. Prepares and administers medications prescribed for the patient under the direct supervision of an RN Performs documentation in the patients’ medical record. Provides basic patient care. In a typical day as a student nurse you may experience the following physical scenarios.
