The Charge Nurse (RN) position is responsible for caring for the residents of Thomson-Hood Veterans Center.
Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To
$15.53 Locality Premium and hours for the position are 11pm-7am.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: See Special Requirements.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE

The Charge Nurse (RN) position is responsible for caring for the residents of Thomson-Hood Veterans Center.
Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Provides Supervises Professional Ancillary Employees in the administration of Efficient Nursing Care of Residents and Makes Recommendations to the Nursing Administrator and Nurse shift Supervisor.
- Assesses, Plans and Interventions, and Evaluates Care of Residents.
- Participates in Care planning process.
- Participates in al aspects of Direct Care including responding to emergency situations.
- Monitors Medication passes and treatment schedules.
- Participates in Staff education and serves as a preceptor in New Employee Orientation.
- Reassigns Staff According to Resident Acuity.
- Preforms other duties as required.
