Requires demonstrated knowledge of legal policies relating to patient decisions and outcomes, medical terminology, current critical-care practice trends and initiatives.
Must exhibit proficiency and knowledge of technical functions required to safely carry out patient care activities involving equipment, medication administration, IV management administration of blood/blood products, and infection control prevention and/or treatment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (DHS-Title 22, JCAHO, CMA, Nursing Practice Act) is required.
Requires the ability to independently practice and prioritize demands in an ever-changing, dynamic environment.

Must be proficient in hemodynamic lines, mechanical ventilation, inter-cranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, general anesthesia, IV infusion titration, and monitoring and assessing patients requiring sedation.
Must have demonstrated critical thinking skills, effective English written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with windows-based computer operations.
Must also demonstrate skills in delegation, leadership, and team management.
