We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) who is passionate about long-term care and dedicated to leading our nursing team with integrity and excellence.

Position Summary

The Director of Nursing oversees all clinical operations within the facility and is responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, strong regulatory compliance, and effective team leadership. This role requires an RN who can lead by example, promote a positive culture, and collaborate closely with all departments to support residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursing department, including RNs, LPNs, and STNAs
Oversee resident care planning, assessments, and documentation
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to support facility goals
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
Support and mentor nursing staff; promote engagement and retention
Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
Serve as a clinical resource and role model for excellent resident care
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff

Qualifications

Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting (required)
Prior management or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of regulatory standards and survey readiness
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Commitment to resident advocacy and quality outcomes
