Minimum Qualifications

The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:

Education and Formal Training:

Associates Degree in Nursing required
Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure

Work Experience:

Our cardiovascular operating room consists of 2 operating room bays and 1 hybrid bay.

The ideal CSOR nurse should have a minimum of 2-3 years of operating room experience, with strong background in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and aortic repairs.
The candidate should be proficient in sterile techniques, instrumentation, and complex OR workflows.
Working knowledge of perfusion equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency response protocols.
The nurse also needs experience with hybrid ORs.
Collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and surgical techs is essential for maintaining composure in high-acuity situations.

Our patients include Adult and Geriatric patients undergoing the following types of surgery:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Valve Repair and Replacement
- Aortic Aneurysm Repair
- Vascular and Hybrid Procedures

Our Care team consist of a team that provides safe quality care: Registered Nurses, CRNAs, Physicians, and Surgical Technologist
Our PCM, Resource Nurse, and Unit Educator are available to support our clinical needs with access to education, resources, guidelines, and protocols.
We operate 24/7 including on-call services for emergency cardiac and vascular cases.
