RN Educator Per Diem

The RN Mentor is a seasoned registered nurse who imparts clinical wisdom, professional judgment, and emotional support to nurses new to practice. Through both individual and group mentoring, the RN Mentor strengthens clinical reasoning, confidence, and professional identity formation during the transition-to-practice period.

This role provides experienced nurses with an opportunity to remain active contributors to the profession by supporting organizational priorities related to safety, quality, engagement, and nurse retention.

Required Experience

Required:

·   Active, unencumbered California RN license

·   Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)

·   Minimum ten (10) years of clinical nursing experience

·   Must obtain LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH Only)

Preferred:

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (BSN/MSN)

·         Previous experience as a preceptor, mentor, or educator

·         Specialty certification in area of expertise
