RN Staff Development 

The RN Registered Nurse Staff Development plans, controls, and executes the implementation of new hire orientation and ongoing training programs for all personnel to ensure the maintenance and continuity of a high standard of services throughout the facility. Completes hands-on skills competencies by observing nursing staff members (CNA through RN Supervisor) and offering areas for improvement.

The RN Registered Nurse Staff Development demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team. The RN Registered Nurse Staff Development demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks.

The RN Registered Nurse Staff Development coordinates mandatory in-service requirements for all facility staff in addition to education on an as-needed basis for all shifts and departments.

RN Support

  • Conduct audits

  • Follow up on documentation

  • Assist with assessments & other clinical tasks

  • Focus on high risk residents

  • General RN support in the facility

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold a current state RN license and be a nurse in good standing.

  • Must meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.

  • Ability to supervise and instruct others.

  • Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and infection control requirements, OSHA laws and regulations, nursing and medical practices, and guidelines governing long term care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility.
