DON Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the nursing department
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
Manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Monitor resident care and address any issues related to quality or safety
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure personalized care plans
Maintain accurate documentation and reports for audits and inspections
Foster a positive, supportive, and accountable team culture

DON Requirements:

Valid RN license in the state of New Jersey
Nursing leadership experience in long-term care is required.
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing homes
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs nursing services based on the facility policies and procedures as regulated by the State and Federal law. PART 1: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS PERFORMANCE 1. Responsible for direction, provision and quality of Nursing care. a. Provides guidance and training to ADON and DON’s in training. b. Provides weekly supervision to ADON’s to discuss and review key issues. c. Provides support to Nursing Leadership through weekly meetings. 2. Responsible for ensuring one registered professional nurse is on duty at all times and reviews monthly Nursing schedules. 3. Reviews nursing 24 hour reports and brings issues for resolution to the daily morning meeting. 4.
