What You’ll Actually Do:

As an In-Home Caregiver, you’ll support seniors and individuals with disabilities to live safely, comfortably, and happily in their own homes. You’ll build strong one-on-one relationships while assisting with:

Daily Living & Personal Care

  • Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene

  • Provide safe mobility support including transfers and walking assistance

  • Monitor and report changes in condition to ensure early response

Homemaking & Environment Support

  • Tidy and clean the client’s home environment

  • Light housekeeping such as sweeping, laundry, dishes, organizing

  • Maintain a clean and safe space by reducing fall risks and clutter

Meal Support & Nutrition

  • Prepare simple meals and snacks based on dietary needs and preferences

  • Encourage hydration and support healthy eating habits

  • Assist with feeding or provide reminders for mealtimes as needed

Reminders & Routine Assistance

  • Provide medication reminders (we do not administer medications)

  • Support client schedules with reminders for routines, hydration, rest, etc.

  • Help ensure consistency in the client’s daily lifestyle

Companionship & Emotional Support

  • Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and brain-stimulating activities

  • Offer companionship and kindness throughout the day

  • Be a trusted, consistent presence they can rely on

Documentation & Communication

  • Accurately document daily care logs and client updates

  • Maintain communication with the care coordination team

  • Follow care plans and agency policies with professionalism

Perform delegated tasks after instruction by RN or PT. Bathe clients, assist with showers and partial baths as appropriate. Assist clients with proper exercises and assist PT in the rehabilitation for client when applicable. Help client maintain personal hygiene and assist with all aspects of activities of daily living.
