Responsibilities

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, Adults, and the CD population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is currently recruiting for an Infection Preventionist/Employee Health Nurse for our Patient Administration Department, part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday thru Friday.

 

The Infection Prevention Nurse/Employee Health (R. N.) is responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of the facility’s infection control program, assumes direct responsibility for infection surveillance, infection control reporting, staff immunizations, and provision of infection control technical support for the facility staff. This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school as a Registered Nurse.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health treatment setting. Experience in patient assessment, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

Licensure:  Must maintain a valid Indiana Nursing license.

Additional Requirements: CPR Certification/CPI. May be required to work part-time flexible hours, Monday thru Friday, day shift.
