What will you do as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

- Provide individualized physical, psychological, and social support for residents.  

- Assist with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, and feeding.  

- Support residents with toileting, colostomy care, transferring, and mobility exercises.  

- Ensure the dignity and respect of all residents are maintained during care tasks.  

- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare staff.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Must be fully certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Pennsylvania.  

- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with CNA responsibilities.

Description Surgical Services is looking for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This position would work in both Short Stay Surgery and Pain Clinic. This position would work Monday through Friday, shift start times varying between 6:30 am to 8:00 am. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) partners with the registered nurse and performs work as delegated to support in the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care. The CNA assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and mobility. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the CNA supports clinical care by monitoring vital signs, assisting with basic medical procedures, and accurately reporting changes in patient condition or behavior. The CNA plays a key role in promoting patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being within the scope of their practice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Patient Care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Assist patients with ADLs (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, mobility) to promote comfort and dignity. Reposition or transfer patients safely to enhance mobility and prevent skin breakdown. Respond promptly to call lights and requests, assessing and addressing patient needs.
