Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for completion of patient's flow sheets, charting, care plans, and providing patient education. Operation of dialysis machines, Critline, Centrifuge, and other dialysis related equipment. Is aware of quality assurance procedures and related documentation and provides on-going monitoring of procedures. Knowledgeable of insurance and Medicare requirements in order to facilitate work with the billing specialist. Serves as a clinical and administrative resource to patient/family and healthcare team member. Acts as a liaison between the physician and patient and/or family. Provide input to the development of individualized treatment plans. Reviews monthly patient labs and interacts with the dialysis health care team to make appropriate changes. Education, Licenses/Certifications, and Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) who has successfully graduated from an accredited School of Nursing and possesses a current license to practice in the state of Wyoming Must have current BLS. Successful completion of ACLS preferred but not required). Completion of Medication test within 30 days of hire. Must have experience in dialysis nursing including background in fluid and electrolyte imbalances, kidney function and dysfunction, standard lab values for renal patients, renal diets, basic machine function and maintenance, basic dialysis skills and knowledge of complications and treatment Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday, Wednesday, Friday 24 hours per week.
