Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/ Personal Care Attendant (PCA) – Private Home Care

Position Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides personalized, compassionate care to clients in their homes and other care settings. The CNA supports clients with daily activities, promotes safety, ensures comfort, and helps them maintain independence and dignity. All care is delivered in accordance with the client’s care plan and under the supervision of a nurse or care manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.

  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement.

  • Monitor and promptly report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervising nurse or care manager.

  • Support medication management by providing reminders and documenting per care plan.

  • Prepare and serve meals based on client preferences and dietary requirements.

  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment (vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, changing linens).

  • Complete laundry related to the client’s needs.

  • Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and errands as directed.

  • Shop for groceries and run other errands as assigned in the care plan.

  • Practice infection control and safety measures in all aspects of care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely care documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Current CNA certification in the State of Georgia.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Previous experience in home care or a similar care setting preferred.

  • Valid Georgia driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance (if providing transportation).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical ability to assist with transfers, mobility, and household tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Care is provided in private residences, hospitals, memory care communities, and assisted living facilities throughout Georgia, which may vary in layout and conditions.

  • Exposure to pets, family members, facility staff, and varying household or facility situations.

  • Regular bending, lifting, and standing required.
