Position overview:
The Infection Preventionist is responsible for supporting facility-wide efforts to prevent and control infections. This role involves surveillance, education, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct facility-wide infection prevention surveillance

• Monitor and promote adherence to infection control policies and procedures

• Review and track data on healthcare-acquired infections, treatments, and control measures

• Collaborate with leadership and clinical staff on prevention strategies

Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee RN or LPN license (required)

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Team-oriented, flexible, caring, and compassionate

• Preferred:

  • Prior experience in Infection Control

  • Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)

  • APIC Certification
