Responsibilities

Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Preferred Job Requirements:

6 months’ medical clinic experience
BLS certification within 30 days of hire

Learn About a Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant: Responsibilities Job Summary The Medical Assistant Certified (CMA) provides superior patient care and performs both clinical and administrative tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider. Essential Functions 1. Enters, maintains, and reports all medical history, medical coding, and files claims using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). 2.
