Job Purpose

The Wound Care NP/PA provides direct patient care under the supervision of a wound care physician.   • Perform wound-related procedures, including debridement, dressing selection/application, and use of advanced wound care therapies.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies related to wound care.

  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with supervising physician.

  • Provide patient and caregiver education regarding wound care and prevention.

  • Accurately document clinical encounters in the EMR in accordance with coding and compliance standards.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team conferences.

  • Maintain professional development, certification, and continuing education requirements.

  • Adhere to organizational policies, infection control standards, and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Current NP or PA license in [State] with prescriptive authority.

  • National certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).

  • Wound care certification (CWCN, CWS, or equivalent) preferred.
