What you will do as a Medical Assistant:
As a clinical professional, you assist Physicians & Advanced Practice Providers in Clinics and Physician Offices.  Medical Assistants prepare patients for visits by collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, prepping for exams, assisting with medical procedures, blood draws, vaccinations, and injections. Medical Assistants also assist with patient scheduling, referrals, insurance, pre-authorizations and billing.

Great schedules!  Most clinics operate Monday thru Friday during Day Shift hours.  No weekends or holidays.   
What’s Required:
CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Medical Technologists
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Health career Association
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCTT) by the National Center for Competency Testing
  • Certified Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) by the American Medical Certification Association
  • Other MHC approved credentialing organization.
  • *If hired/credentialed prior to 3/1/24 will be grandfathered in with prior credentialing body.
  • Must meet any requirements to maintain credential.
NON-CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT   
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred. 
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson Healthcare 
  • OR 
  • One (1) year relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support role. 
  • Experience working with EMR preferred
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION
  • Basic Life Support Certification preferred OR must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained
