Certified CNA Job Opening for One-on-One Caregiving

Helping Hearts is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a one-on-one caregiver. This role is ideal for compassionate, skilled caregivers who are dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality care to individuals in need. Must have a valid CNA certification for the state of Tennessee.

Helping Hearts is on the lookout for passionate, experienced caregivers to join our dynamic team! We offer a variety of shifts, ranging from 4 to 12 hours, with both day and night shifts available. What You’ll Do:

  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort. Monitor and assist with personal care needs, always respecting their dignity and independence.

  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their quality of life. Encourage social interaction and participation in hobbies or interests that bring joy and fulfillment. Be a supportive presence, offering a listening ear to help reduce feelings of isolation or loneliness.

  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up, dusting, vacuuming, and laundry. Ensure the client’s living space is safe, comfortable, and conducive to their well-being. Assist with organizing personal belongings and maintaining a clutter-free environment.

  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and balanced meals according to the client’s dietary preferences and any specific health requirements. Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and ensuring that food is stored and prepared safely. Monitor clients’ dietary needs and ensure they are receiving proper nutrition.

  • Health Monitoring: Monitor clients’ physical and emotional well-being, including blood sugar management if applicable. Observe and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist with medication reminders and ensure clients are following prescribed treatment plans.

  • Transportation: Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings as needed. Ensure the client’s safety during transportation, assisting with getting in and out of vehicles if necessary. Maintain a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven background in caregiving, with specific experience in personal care and blood sugar management.

  • Skills: Ability to perform all tasks with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.

  • Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.

  • Background Check: Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.

  • Documentation: Applicants must have a copy of their high school diploma, valid driver’s license, a copy of their birth certificate, and a social security card.
