Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, PRN
Shift: Days, Evenings, Overnight
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team in a skilled nursing facility setting. The RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with care plans, physician orders, and regulatory standards. This role is critical in promoting resident health, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care to residents according to individualized care plans

Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other care team members

Assess residents’ health status and document observations and interventions accurately
-
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
-
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families
-
Communicate effectively with physicians and allied health professionals regarding resident status and care needs
-
Respond to and manage medical emergencies and acute changes in condition
-
Ensure proper documentation, charting, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
-
Participate in care conferences, quality improvement activities, and in-service education
-
Promote a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents and staff
Qualifications:
-
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
-
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate or Bachelor’s degree)

CPR/BLS certification (required)

Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred

Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

- Providing direct patient care in accordance with state, federal, and facility guidelines
- Supervising CNAs
- Medication administration • Wound and treatment care
- Provide general nursing care to patients in accordance with the facility’s nursing policy and procedure
- Addressing problems identified in the patient care plan for Nurse review
Qualifications & Skills of Registered Nurse
- Current license by the Minnesota Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
- Ability to interact with a variety of people and foster a team philosophy
- Ability to negotiate and interact effectively with staff, patients, families, and professional/regulatory agents
