We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Staffing Coordinator. In this essential role, you’ll help ensure our nursing department runs smoothly by managing schedules, supporting staff, and maintaining compliance with staffing standards. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-starter with initiative
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Basic computer proficiency
Experience in long-term care preferred
Prior staffing experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities
Schedule nursing staff to meet State, Federal, and company guidelines
Adjust staffing based on PPD to ensure budget compliance
Post monthly schedules via Smartlinx by the 20th of each month
Accept call-offs and arrange replacements as needed
Prepare daily staffing assignment sheets and participate in staffing meetings
Track STNA attendance points and monitor weekly hours to minimize overtime
Maintain accurate schedules and manage shift swaps and census-based staffing
Coordinate training schedules and onboarding for newly hired STNAs
Assist the Director of Nursing in identifying and resolving retention issues
Communicate professionally across departments and maintain confidentiality
Serve on committees and perform other duties as requested
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
Use of hands and arms for typing and paperwork
Occasional lifting of office supplies or documents
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to handle interpersonal conflicts professionally
