RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for providing compassionate care by helping individuals with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

· Assisting with showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and toileting

· Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home

· Performing household activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, washing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning the bathroom

· Preparing/cooking nutritious meals and snacks

· Providing transportation and accompanying clients on errands or appointments

· Dementia care

· Companionship activities such as reading, music, crafts, games, puzzles, etc.

· Medication reminders

· Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises

REQUIREMENTS:

· 18 years of age

· Able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job, BILINGUAL is a plus

· High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred

· Preferably one year of caregiving experience, but no less than six months. Caring for a family member counts! We are willing to train people new to the field that are interested in a caregiving career.

· Experience with dementia, hospice, or facilities a plus

· Reliable transportation to and from each shift

· Possess both a valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance

· Ability to pass a full employment background check
