Responsibilities and Duties of a Caregiver/Home Health Aide:

  • -Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
  • -Medication reminders
  • -Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
  • -Dementia care
  • -Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
  • -Transportation to appointments or errands

 

Requirements for a Caregiver/Home Health Aide:

-MUST be registered with the State of California as a Home Care Aide

  • -High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
  • -21 years of age or older
  • -Reliable transportation, driver's license preferred
  • -Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance 
  • -Willing to travel to clients homes
  • -Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
  • -1 year of caregiving experience preferred
