Overview

The RN Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager in the administrative duties of the clinical unit and providing leadership. This position will participate in organizational and unit based quality improvement activities, and provide input on standards of care to maintain quality patient outcomes. Will also maintain the clinical competencies needed to provide direct patient care when the need arises.

Responsibilities

Coordinates daily nursing activities of Patient Care unit.Performs essential job functions of direct reports.Resolves work related issues, or assists employees in solving work related issues, confers with manager to resolve more complex situations.Assists in development and review of department policies, procedures, standing orders, and competencies.Assists in developing and implements current and new office processes within the department.Assists staff in solving work related issues as needed. Is prepared with shift coverage options in case of unscheduled absence of off hours shift.Assists with the orientation, continuing education, and the development of competencies for new and current staff.Completes audits that directly impact practice, and then send follow up e-mails for immediate feedback and if possible face-to-face education.Completes required monthly reports and any required training on time and ensures staff are compliant with all training.Responds to customer service issues with patients, families, MD and all other staff.Make work assignments and review and edit work of personnel.Resolves work related issues, or assists employees in solving work related issues.Coordinates daily nursing activities of Patient Care Unit. Performs essential job functions of direct reports. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks. Resolves work related issues or assists employees in solving work related issues, confers with manger to resolve more complex situations. Compensation And Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $41per hour - $70.52per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.
