Job Duties

  • Monday – Friday care center outpatient and inpatient consults and follow-ups
  • Coordinate treatment plans for patients (under the supervision of gastroenterologists)
  • Order, interpret, and make diagnoses of lab tests and imaging scans
  • Record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Write/refill prescriptions appropriate for diagnosis
  • Review patient results, including pathology
  • Other duties related to the specialty of gastroenterology as assigned

Candidate requirements:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Florida
  • Certification as an NP or PA with prescriptive authority
  • 3+ years of advanced practice acute-care experience preferred
  • GI experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with other providers and the care team
