The Clinic CNA assists in the delivery of patient care and performance of established tasks and procedures under the supervision of a present and available Registered Nurse/ Hospital Provider; is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization; and supports the mission, vision, and Values of CommonSpirit Health.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Must be able to perform the following tasks efficiently: perform/record vital signs, CPR, apply oxygen delivering systems, assist provider with treatment when appropriate, apply restraints, clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization, and collect urine specimens
  2. Assists in making observations, gathering data, and identifying patient care needs
  3. Assists with patient transports and transfers
  4. Assists with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
  5. Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies
  6. Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures

Non-essential Job Responsibilities

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by the Minnesota Department of Health

Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS)
