Job Summary: The Perinatal Nurse is responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for women and babies in all phases of their childbirth experience; to include before, during and after delivery of the baby based on HMNH policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements.  Responsible for providing care to these patients; and ensuring that the nursing as well as the emotional needs of the patient are adequately met throughout the ante-partum period, the entire birthing process, and the post-partum period.   The Perinatal Nurse will be required to float throughout the Center for Women’s and Children where needed.
