As a Registered Nurse (RN) Ambulatory Team Lead in the Dermatology department, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary care team to provide professional nursing care to patients in an ambulatory setting. You will be responsible for assisting in providing clinical oversight to caregivers and patients, coordinating and resolving daily operational issues in a specified clinical area and ensuring quality and safe care.   

A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. --5:30 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Perform duties of the RN ambulatory.
  • Coordinate and resolve daily operational issues in specified clinical area.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives. 
  • Facilitate orientation, teaching, coaching and mentoring of assigned employees. 
  • Assist in the preparation of the department specific education for patients and colleagues. 
  • Participate in quality initiatives, process improvement and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience and patient safety.  
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transition of care. 
  • Assist with post-operative suture removals.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (AND or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) 
  • Two years of experience as an RN; Inpatient or ambulatory experience (adults)
  • Ability to function in a variety of medical situations

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) 
  • Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience
  • Prior leadership experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

Job Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes. What you will do in this role: Assess the patients condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patients medical record. - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication. Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
