We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Mother/Baby for our facility to ensure we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

The Registered Nurse coordinates, supervises and is accountable for safe professional nursing care of patients within an assigned department.
Achieves professional goals set during previous evaluation period
Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct at all times
Demonstrates and maintains good employee/peer relationship and teamwork
Prioritize work and duties and work well under stressful situations
Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills with patients, families, physicians, peers and healthcare team
Demonstrates accountability for direct patient care, applies nursing process, prioritizes care and evaluates outcome caring for and stabilizing premature and term neonates with critical medical and surgical conditions
Participates and facilitates in the discharge planning process and cost containment
Documents all aspects of patient care efficiently, accurately and per policy recommendations.
Delegates patient care to license/ non licensed nursing staff, based on acuity, needs of patient, staff availability and qualifications
Participates in Performance Improvement activity

What qualifications you will need:

Graduate of approved and accredited nursing program
ADN required, Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
Current RN Licensure in the State of Texas
Current BCLS certification required
ACLS certification within 30 days of hire
NRP certification within 30 days of hire
1 year of Postpartum or Mother/Baby experience

What You Will Do In Your Role: You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients. You will assist with all procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will scrub, circulate and record. You will monitor patient status to ensure optimal patient outcome. You will be responsible for on-call participation. What qualifications you will need: 1 year of RN Cath Lab experienced required. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date) Current American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certification is required.
