You will ensure the operating room is adequately prepared for procedures and act as a preceptor for other techs as needed. Job Summary and Qualifications As an Obstetric Surgical Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you’ll be a valued member of a highly collaborative team that is passionate about delivering newborns safely and with the highest standards of care, while honoring each professional’s skills and expertise in obstetrics and surgery. You’ll prepare the surgical suite, support the team during procedures, and ensure every patient receives compassionate care. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience What qualifications you will need: CNA cert or Surgical tech cert required exp in hospital setting preferred Post Partum exp setting preferred L and D exp exp preferred 1 year over all Hospital exp as a CNA or Surgical tech preferred Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date For 150 years, St. Marks Hospital has provided a full-spectrum of healthcare services to Salt Lake City and its surrounding communities.
