Position Overview: Majestic Care Nurses render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit. Key Responsibilities: Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans. Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs. Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders. Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel. Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act. Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents. Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments. Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed as an RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required. How you make a difference As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. This role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary. Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed. Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment. Monitors safety issues, evaluate service delivery and staff growth, and adhere to the organization's Code of Conduct. Demonstrates knowledge of risk management, clinical precautions, infection control, fall prevention, utilization of special procedures, environmental checks, fire disaster procedures, and alternatives to use with regards to seclusion/restraint methods. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing Experience 2 years of supervisory experience in an acute setting recommended Emergency Room, Communicable Disease, with Medical and Surgical experience preferred Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
