JOB HIGHLIGHTS

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the nursing team as a Med Technician. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by coordinating their medication administration and assisting them with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities:

Assistance with Medications for all assigned residents
Assisting with the daily care of the residents, including: Personal care, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundering, social interactions, and meals.
Monitoring the resident’s physical and emotional comfort and responding as needed
Documenting completed tasks such as: Daily shift report, resident records and negotiated service agreement
Confidentially communicating clearly to other staff, such as: Urgent needs for the next shift and all concerns to the Health Care Director

Job Summary: The Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and providing direct care to residents while ensuring compliance with facility policies and state regulations. This role reports to the Supervisor and nursing team leader. Key Responsibilities: Administer medications accurately and timely per physician orders. Document medication administration and report side effects or resident condition changes. Maintain medication inventory, notify pharmacy/family for refills, and keep medication areas clean. Follow residents' care plans and facility policies, including safety, infection control, and residents' rights. Assist in training new employees and participate in in-service education programs. Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of resident information. Report all accidents, incidents, or suspected abuse immediately. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
