Job Description

Registered Nurses are responsible for the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care delivery. The Registered Nurse providers clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift.

7:00pm - 7:00am with weekend and holiday rotation

Pay based on experience starting at $37.23 per hour

Responsibilities

Administers medications and treatments according to protocol.  Clarifies and reviews physician’s orders and takes appropriate action., Completes the assessment upon admission.  Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation.  Recognizes normal and abnormal findings when gathering data.  Assesses based on patient's communication of information and need, existing signs and symptoms, current patient data, and nursing knowledge., Coordinates admission, discharge and transfer planning with all team members., Coordinates bed and patient care assignments during shift and in preparation for the next shift to ensure consistency in care delivery., Documents and reports care delivered to the physicians and other team members as needed.  Documents accurate and ongoing assessments of patient.  Assures that documentation reflects changes in patient condition and notification to appropriate individual has occurred., Enhances patient care and efficiency of unit by optimizing workflow of all team members.  Monitors and evaluates the care provided by team members (including lab and radiology) and initiates action to ensure optimal patient care., Performs appropriate triage assessments., Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines and makes referral to the OP Care Coordinator as appropriate., Provides and coordinates patient and family education and utilizes referral agencies to promote patient's management of own healthcare.  Keeps both patient and significant others informed., Responds to patient's call light and other indicators for assistance promptly and courteously to meet patient's needs.
