RN, Operating Room 

Prescribes, provides, delegates, evaluates and coordinates comprehensive professional nursing care to a designated group of patients, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other health care team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Oversees non-professional nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care.

Schedule

Position is generally scheduled Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. Call required.

Department Overview South Operating Room (Main OR) is a large 25-bed OR primarily an adult inpatient operating room with a small volume of outpatient procedures including: Cardiac/ Thoracic, General Surgery/Minimally Invasive/ Colorectal/Bariatric, Gynecology, Oral Maxillofacial, Neuro/neuro spine, Orthopedic/orthopedic spine, Otolaryngology, Plastics, Transplant, Urology, Vascular, Robotic (Urology/GYN/Oral), and Trauma. Surgical procedures on infants and children less than 18 years of age are also performed if the procedure requires specialized equipment found only at this location. The OHSU Operating Room provides around-the-clock multidisciplinary services to adult patients across their life span. The department cares for Ambulatory, Adult Acute Care and Adult ICU patients arriving from home, ED or from the In-Patient setting. OHSU is a Magnet designated hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center. Function/Duties of Position OHSU cares for acutely and critically ill patients in our Operating Room. We provide the latest evidence-based care and have a reputation for effective teamwork.
