Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. Our comfortable, homelike atmosphere is conducive to healing for the adults and seniors we treat. Our greatest asset is the staff, comprised of psychiatrists, professional nurses, social workers and therapists. These individuals work as a team to uphold Glen Oaks Hospital’s reputation for excellence in helping patients resolve mental health and addiction problems. For over 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy.

The Intake Clinician is responsible for the coordination of assessments of incoming patients and the initiation of the admissions process with the Intake Specialist. The Intake Clinician provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Intake Director.

Overnight Shift: 7pm to 7am, varied nights

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field, or licensed RN.

Experience: 2-3 years in the area of substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing OR must be state certified in social work or clinical related mental health field. LPC, LPC-A, LMSW, or LCSW, RN, LFMT license required.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation prior to assisting in restraining procedures. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
