About the Job Colorectal Nurse Practitioner – MedStar Georgetown University Hospital MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, a leading academic medical center and part of the MedStar Health system, is seeking a Colorectal Nurse Practitioner to join our Department of Surgery. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a dynamic clinical environment while contributing to education, innovation, and research in one of the nation’s premier teaching hospitals. The Nurse Practitioner in this role will be responsible for seeing post-surgical follow-up patients in the office. The ideal candidate will help take the lead with integrating best quality and safety practices for all our outpatient APPs as they relate to duties pertaining to the rectal cancer program for the Center for Excellence. New graduates are welcome to apply. Incoming leadership skills and experience are a plus but not required. The ideal candidate will be dependable and have thorough documentation skills, great work ethic, and be able to work autonomously at times while being connected regularly with administrative and physician support. The candidate will report directly to the Colorectal Division and be comfortable interacting with several other departments as related to this highly matrixed organization. The schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday, as a full-time, 1.0FTE APP. This job excludes holidays, weekends, after-hour or call responsibilities.
