ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Participates in the development of the strategy of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team by providing data; identifying priorities; setting realistic and measurable goals; identifying measures to maintain comfort, support human functions and response and maintain an environment conducive to well-being; and provide health teaching. • Provides nursing care by performing basic to semi-complex treatments as delegated by the RN. • Ensures complete, accurate and timely entry into patient medical record as indicated by patient condition and documentation guidelines, consistent with departmental policies and procedures. • Observes patients for physical and emotional reactions to medications and treatments, reporting any irregularities to appropriate medical and/or other nursing personnel. • Adheres to Billings Clinic safety standards, policies and practices. • Anticipates and identifies problems and safety issues, then initiates appropriate action. • Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance Takes responsibility for own professional growth and development needs; meets all system and departmental educational requirements. • Consideration is given to the appropriateness of care based on the population specific needs of the patient including age appropriate and cultural needs. • Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of patient care.
