Suburban Hospital is a 228-bed, community-based, not-for-profit hospital serving Montgomery County and the surrounding area since 1943. The designated trauma center for Montgomery County, Suburban Hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and offers both complex and routine care for a range of specialties.
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver safe, therapeutic, and age-appropriate patient care. May assign tasks and provide guidance and direction to unlicensed assistive personnel. The Registered Nurse may delegate activities within the scope of practice for the LPN.
- Collects data for the assessment of the patient through direct observation, review of current condition and health status, obtaining past medical history, medication history, reviewing medical records
- Perform a focused physical assessment focusing on current conditions and problems
- Identification of any changes in the patient symptoms or behavior
Education:
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
Current state licensure as LPN required with 6 months experience.
Current Certification in Basic Life Support is required.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
Currently licensed to practice as an LPN in Maryland.
Current CPR Certification required.
Hours:
Full Time, 36hrs per week
12-hour shift 7p-7:30a
