Fairfax Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking dynamic and talented Registered NurseS to work for a TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT (duration is 15 weeks). This position requires to work every other weekends. The Charge Nurse (RN) /Staff Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The Charge Nurse (RN) /Staff Nurse (RN) must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. The Charge Nurse (RN) /Staff Nurse (RN) have supervisory responsibilities for LPN and Program Specialists (MHT/RCW).

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
Experience: Preferred one year of experience working with a psychiatric in-patient population preferred.
Licensure: Current license to pratice nursing in Washington (or eligible to recieve or renew)
Additional Requirements: Must complete and maintain training in CPR and HWC – aggression management, crisis intervention and restraint training. Training may be obtained during first week of employment during new hire orientation.
HOURS / SCHEDULE: This is TEMPORARY 15-WEEK ASSIGNMENT. Must work 5days 8-hour shifts per week for a total of 15 weeks. Night shift is available. Night shift is 11pm - 730am.
