This is a great opportunity to work close to home at a 3- time Magnet recognized, community hospital and to grow your critical care skills in a fast-paced unit that cares for patients with a wide range of conditions.
This is a fast-paced unit with 24 beds and a strong team that supports each other. This unit provides intermediate level of care in an all private room model. The patient population covers a wide range of conditions including chest pain, new onset A-fib, congestive heart failure, post cardiac catheterization patients without intervention, COPD, patients requiring high flow oxygen therapy or bipap, GI bleed patients not requiring immediate intervention and substance abuse patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
The all RN staff is supplemented by nursing assistants and unit coordinators. Patient care is approached as a team to generate quality outcomes for patients and families.
Hours: 24 hours per week, Evening Shift 3P-11P, Every Third Weekend
Strong Medical Surgical experience required, step down experience a plus
Able to read and interpret Tele strips is a plus, opportunity to learn
Excellent time management skills
Valid BLS
ACLS required within six months of hire
